How To Develop A Strong Work Ethic

Everyone has a dream but what separates the winners from the losers believe it or not is work ethic. A work ethic is a set of values based on the ideals of hard work and discipline.

Building a reliable work ethic means training yourself to follow these values. Training yourself so that work becomes automatic instead of a struggle.

BUT HOW?

Accept the fact that most things require hard work.

You can either read this for entertainment value or you can make a decision today and work your ass off. Its all on you. It takes plenty of focus and decipline to get into the habit of success but it also takes a beast to be consistent.

Most people you idolize believe it or not work so hard that they barely even sleep. Do you think you got what it takes to keep up?

Recognize that you’re all alone

No one is coming to rescue you. No one will force you into the flow of action. You must do this for yourself. You want growth, and this requires action, movement, and change. This requires you to make some decisions and get going. Don’t blame or think anyone else have anything to do with it. Its 100% all on you.

Start you day strong

Develop a well deciplined routine in the morning as soon as you wake up. Don’t be all lazy and lie down with your smart phone for 30minutes. Instead, get up and get moving right away. It may seem a bit overwhelming at first but as this turns into a habit it will be more easy to accomplish.

you aren’t doing this naturally already, then use an alarm clock. When your alarm sounds, pop out of bed and stand up first; then switch it off with your feet firmly on the ground. Remember, you’re the one in charge and nothing is impossible.

Work before play

The idle man does not know what it is to enjoy rest, for he has not earned it. – John Lubbock.

Play is sweetest when it’s earned. So is sleep. Earn your sleep each night by working hard on your goals during the day. Go to bed with the sweet smile of accomplishment still on your lips.

I dont know about you but it always seem so satisfying to know how much I do before bed.

Take your rewards. Enjoy your life. But earn your rewards first.

Playing before you’ve earned your play time robs the play of much of its pleasure. If you love to play, then you’d better love to work.

When you rest or play, leave your work at work. Don’t destroy the restorative value of non-work activities by bleeding half-work into them.

Consistency

Now that we’re all pumped up and feel like superman, what next? So you woke up one morning and you pushed your self to the limit. You lift a few weights, out worked your co-workers, things are looking well. See theres this thing called distraction that sneaks into out lives constantly And its hard to resist. One morning you feel like a god and the next you want to stay hone and watch soap operas. These things happen all the time and that’s why its important to stay focused.

Being consistent is actually the real key to being successful. Most people either quit halfway or forget their initial purpose. Once you see past the obstacles its going to to hard to stop you.

If this was helpful to you in any way please share this with someone, I’m sure they will appreciate it.
